Eau d'Heure Lakes L'Eau d'Heure lakes are situated south of Charleroi at Boussu lez Walcourt.

Every type of water sport is catered for, including scuba diving, water skiing and sailing. In addition there are picnic areas, walks, fishing and a visitor centre. Here you can visit the dam, be taken to the top of the 107 metre tower by lift and see a model of the lake system.

Charleroi has a great deal of industry which unfortunately could, in an uncontrolled situation, lead to a considerable rise in temperature of the river system. The lakes of l'Eau d'Heure are used to feed water into the river system to maintain a strong flow and limit the temperature rise.
