There are 22 Administrative Regions (including Corsica) in France and each Region is made up of several Departments or Départements. Over the past few years we have had two holidays a year touring France and this website contains just a few of the pictures we have taken on our many and varied travels. We hope that the pictures will give an insight into this beautiful country which has so many variations just around the corner. We have always had a warm welcome in France and found the French to be very friendly and ready to assist the visitor explore their wonderful country. France is a country of ever changing scenery. Every type of holiday can be catered for from beautiful beaches, cultural tours to skiing in the mountains. Each region has a pride and identity uniquely it's own. It is impossible to choose a favorite as they are all so different. We have found that the more you explore, the more you want to. We are sure that you will find the same. To explore France we have always used the Michelin Tourist and Motoring Atlas France (Spiral). It is a great book to use and seems to show much more detail than many other simplified Map Books. The latest version is available from Amazon through our Shop. Please Note. There are currently 3 regions of France where we have not taken pictures. They are: Bourgogne, Corsica and Limousin. Consequently these Regions are not included in the displayed list on the left.
